Application
Gain direct access to the throttle valve area.
Start the engine and spray the Intake Cleaner onto the throttle valve at 2–3 second intervals while maintaining a minimum of 2,000 RPM.
If the engine stalls or struggles to maintain speed, disconnect the air flow meter plug with the ignition off. After cleaning, delete any stored faults from the engine control unit using a diagnostic device and reprogram the air flow meter if necessary.
If the engine experiences a fluctuation of more than 1,000 RPM, shorten the spray intervals.
Avoid contact with the air flow meter or painted components.
For stubborn deposits, repeat the cleaning process with a second can of cleaner.
After cleaning, let the engine run for 20 seconds at 2,000 RPM to burn off any remaining residues in the intake system.
